Reliable yet simple in design, the 50F mullion-transom system is used in the construction of new buildings as well as in the renovation of older ones. It consists of aluminum mullions, which are mounted vertically onto a floor-to-floor intermediate slab or into the gap between floors, with transoms attached horizontally. After the installation of the glazing unit, it is pressed around the perimeter to the mullions and transoms by a special clamping strip, which is then covered with a decorative cap.
The main principle of operation for facade systems is continuous natural air circulation (ventilation), which ensures a long service life for the necessary elements and surfaces. The system also allows for the use of special external sun protection louvers, which are mounted onto the mullion.
