    Sectional Garage Doors

Sectional garage doors are one of the most common types of doors in Europe. Their construction consists of panels connected by hinges, which move along guide rails securely attached to the edges of the opening and installed under the building’s ceiling. When the door opens, the panels move one after another and position themselves under the ceiling, requiring no additional space in front of the door.

Alutech sectional garage doors have a wide range of applications. They can be installed in private homes, underground garages and parking lots, industrial facilities, car washes, and auto service centers. At the same time, they complement and emphasize the architecture of any building beautifully.

    Control System

The doors can be operated manually or using an electric drive with a stationary or remote control. At the customer’s request, previously installed doors can be additionally equipped with an automatic control system. In case of a power outage, a special mechanism is provided for unlocking the electric drive.

    Service Life

Sectional doors are designed for 25,000 opening-closing cycles. If used up to seven times a day, their guaranteed service life will be exhausted after 10 years. After this period, the service life of the construction can be extended by simply replacing the springs.

If more intensive use is required, the doors can be equipped with springs rated for up to 100,000 cycles.

    Construction and Materials

The sandwich panels of Alutech garage doors are made of sheet steel, specially treated to be resistant to various external impacts. The panel is filled with environmentally friendly polyurethane foam, making it safe for humans and the Earth’s ozone layer. The front surface of the panel has a woodgrain texture, which helps conceal small scratches that may appear during use. Special EPDM polymer seals, resistant to dents, maintain the elasticity of the panels at low temperatures, improve their resistance to atmospheric effects, ensure reliable airtightness, and provide additional thermal insulation. The configuration of Alutech panels ensures self-centering and eliminates any play relative to each other, significantly simplifying the door installation, which is also facilitated by pre-prepared openings for the components.

The entire perimeter of the doors is equipped with rubber seals that cover the joints and, in combination with the guide rails, ensure reliable sealing of the opening. Sectional doors are resistant to wind and impact loads. When installed in high-humidity environments, corrosion-resistant materials and coatings extend the service life of the doors.
